Secluded UK Beaches to Discover on Your Kayak

Written by GJW Direct | 19-Jun-2018 19:51:43

The UK may not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of secluded beaches, but it’s full of secret coastal treasures, you just need to know where to look...

Tranquil waters, unspoilt by the riff raff of UK staycationers, make for a perfect location for those trying to discover a peaceful bay to kayak.

Here are some of our favourite spots…

East Soar, Devon, England

Home to peaceful, secret coves, you can explore the East Soar and kayak into the depths of caves and rugged cliffs. This stretch allows you to adventure from Salcombe to Hope Cove at your leisure.

Mwnt Beach, Cardigan Bay, Wales

Another hidden little cove ideal for those seeking excitement and serenity - if you’re lucky, you might even spot some dolphins! With Cardigan town only a few miles away, you can finish your trip on foot in the town with a drink and maybe a bite to eat.

Arisaig, Scotland

Kayak in the blue waters of Arisaig and watch as otters and other water wildlife live and play beneath the surface.

Abereiddy, Pembrokeshire, Wales

This cove is more of a lagoon, making it fitting for a kayaking or canoe session. Towered by cliff tops perfect for a midday hike it really offers you the adventure you’re craving.
