Spotlight on the RNLI

The RNLI work tirelessly to keep people safe whilst out on the water and it’s this shared vision and their incredible work that means we’re so proud to be partnering with them. This month we’re giving one lucky winner an RNLI Boating Bundle worth over £250, to enter the prize draw, simply sign up to MyBoat between 1st March 2022 and 31st March 2022.

Who are the RNLI?

Initially founded in 1824 and renamed The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in 1854, the RNLI is made up of a vast team of volunteers and dedicated staff who work tirelessly to save lives out at sea. Their lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour rescue service across the UK and Ireland, whilst their Flood Rescue Team offer help and support to those who are affected by flooding. Not to mention their team of seasonal lifeguards who look after people on busy beaches.

With kind donations primarily powering the RNLI’s search and rescue teams, they have been able to save lives for nearly 200 years. With their volunteers at the heart of everything they do, they’re proud to be a part of a team full of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

What do they do?

The RNLI is more than just a charity, it’s a community full of people wanting to do good and help others, with influencing, supervising and educating being a key focus. As well as the amazing Lifeboat Crews, Flood Rescue Teams and Lifeguards striving to keep life at sea safe, the RNLI takes an important role in education, visiting schools of all ages, Water Safety Education visits, online learning and fundraising support.
